At this age, children are beginning to develop special friendships and will begin to interact with their peers. Teachers will be facilitators and assist with problem solving. As kindergarten readiness is a process, academic small groups are introduced during our Pre-K program. Activities will be simplified or enhanced to meet the developmental needs of the children.

The following areas are covered within our curriculum:

  • Reading Readiness
  • Math Readiness
  • Arts/Crafts

  • Practical life
  • Bible Story

A variety of stimulating hands-on activities will enhance the development of fine and gross motor skills, cognitive, social and emotional development and academic development. Our preschoolers are also introduced to two secondary languages, Spanish and French, during circle time and small groups.

Every morning our preschoolers start their day with:

Small group time- Each preschooler will participate in the following academic activities daily: Reading readiness, Math readiness, Arts/Crafts and science.

Our print rich environment enhances the emerging interest of writing and early literacy skills. During free time, there are many opportunities for your child to explore housekeeping, blocks, manipulatives, library, art and water table area. Our teachers evaluate the children formally twice a year and of course, daily communication and daily visits are encouraged.
