Toddler Care Program

At Childrens’ Kastle, we know how much our independent and curious explorers love to dump, pour, climb, and slide as they are rapidly growing. Toddlers are on the move! Our toddler day care environment supports your child’s cognitive and physical development through age-appropriate activities that are designed to enhance fine and gross motor skills, eye-hand coordination, and communication skills.

Due to short toddler attention spans, organized group activities are shortened. To that end, your toddler’s individual needs and development will largely make up the daily schedule. Growth through repetition and interest allow your child to enjoy newly acquired capabilities. On a daily basis you will receive an information sheet to highlight your toddler’s day including eating, napping, diapering, needs, and special activities. Our teachers evaluate every child formally twice a year and of course, daily communication and daily visits are welcomed and encouraged.

12 Months to 24 Months

Developmental Activities

Toddlers need plenty of time to explore their newly found independence and boundaries. It is an exciting time for your child! Your one- to two-year-old is becoming more independent each day, and requires the ability to do things for themselves. We encourage them to do as much as possible on their own, and celebrate each milestone.

We nurture your toddler’s development with activities that enhance his or her cognitive, language, motor, and social skills. It is important for your child to begin playing and learning in groups, as well as individually, to encourage appropriate social development. Our teachers engage your child in daily whole group instruction with other toddlers, as well as allowing time for play, nurturing, and learning.
